While taking part in a panel discussion on 25 July, Dr. Subhash Arya said the four years multidisciplinary BEd programme for teacher education shall face many critical challenges such as the design of curriculum which shall fulfill the need of skills and competencies in a 21st-century teacher. The arrangement of various resources, infrastructures to build a teacher education programme as per NEP-2020 needs overhauling of the present system. He alerted that perhaps in a given present scenario of education in India, it shall be like daydreaming. In a four-year BEd programme, experts from various disciplines suppose to come together to frame and run the curriculum who might be facing their own discipline-related issues.
