Manuscript, "From the golden pages of History" in 1994

My dear friend Prof. Mao used to ask me when did I embrace Buddhism? In this connection, there is a small connecting evidence though story to conviction in Buddhism goes beyond and before that which I will mention.  28 years back, while studying in class 12, I wrote this manuscript in Hindi on "From the golden pages of History." This manuscript was published in 1000 pamphlets ( printed at the printing machine of Late Sh. Ram Kishan ji)  and distributed among Bahujans, especially on the occasion of Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Divas which was celebrated at Asok Mission Buddha Vihar, Mehrauli, New Delhi. I bore the cost of printing through my pocket money. I thank my parents, who supported this mission. I was inspired to write this manuscript after reading a research article by Prof. Nandu Ram from JNU. Sh. Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi ji, the nephew of Prof. Nandu Ram ji, provided the journal in which the original research article was published. I acknowledge their contribution and express gratitude to them. I shall welcome comments, criticism, appreciation, and feedback.

On the Farewell occasion of E & I Batch-2004-08 at ISM Dhanbad

On the Farewell occasion of E & I Batch-2004-08        at ISM Dhanbad                            Date: 17.04.2008

Honorable HOD-sir, distinguished faculties, respected staff, and dear students.  I am taking this opportunity to say farewell to the final-year students with whom I have been associated over the past 4 years, initially as a teaching assistant and later as a faculty. This is the time of feeling joy and distress. Joy, because all of you are leaving for the betterment and a better career opportunity and distress because we will be missing all the golden moments spent with us in the ISMU, particularly in the E & I Dept, which has the least infrastructure during the last four years.  Off-course all of you have compromised to at great extent with the dept. We are very much thankful to you.

I am very much pleased to see the sincerity of the final-year students toward their studies; they have excellent conduct and respect for each and every faculty and staff of our department.  I have observed they also have vivid visions of their goal.  I personally have learned many characteristics from this batch. I have seen at least 4 batches passing out, but this 2K8 batch is the best among them, not only in terms of academics, extra curriculum activities, and placement but also as a good human being.  I think being a good human being is more important than anything else, as not only in the world but in India too, there is no lack of Engineers, Doctors, Scientists, etc. But there is a lack of good people and good human beings in society.  You may observe this in every aspect of life.  Therefore, I appeal to the junior batches. Please learn how to be a good human being along with performing excellently in their academics.

Well, there is a big world outside our campus,  so all I need to say is go and make the very best of what you have learned I am very much sure you will definitely win and, after that, come back as an alumnus and share your success with our ISMU.  Always try to look at the brighter side of life.  Have a positive attitude and see you will be a happier person, and success will come your way. Very best of luck to all of you in your carrier.  Have a blast time and enjoy your life.

Last but not least, I want to express my feelings as

Tumney Diya  E & I ko Gati,

E & I tumhey kya dega

Apni AAG Tej rakhney ko

Naam tumara Lega

With lots of love, and best wishes for your bright future.

On the Fresher’s Welcome Day of E & I Batch-2009-10 at ISM Dhanbad

 On the Fresher’s Welcome Day of E & I (ISM Dhanbad) Batch-2009-10                          Date: 08.09.2009

Honorable HOD sir, Distinguished faculties, respected staff, and dear students, it gives me immense pleasure to bid WELCOME to all the fresher of E & I Deptt!

While sitting in this evening’s ceremonies, I suggest you savor the moment; from today, you start the best and most determining period of your life. Today you sit here as teenagers, free as the wind. In a few years, you will leave the department as competent professionals, trained experts in Electronics and Communication Engg.

E & I Dept. is not a collection of buildings or even of people. It is a cauldron where one throws in the ingredients of some hard work, a tad of skill, and a great deal of time – a magic mixture that can transform you and your life into anything you want it to be.  Our faculties are leaving no stone unturned to shape your life.  Our technical staff is putting full effort into making you technically sound.  Our other staff members get pleased after helping you. And the outcomes are in front of you.  On records, except one student of B. Tech, all have been placed by 10 eminent organizations such as AMDOCS, SAMSUNG, TCS, IBM, and DRDO with handsome salaries in less than one month of August 2007 placement period.

Whatever your interest, be it music, social welfare, robotics, research, religion, sports, yoga, or anything else, you can find an association or club attuned to your interest. My appeal to you is not to spend your time here only on academic interests.

Whether organizing events, creating policies, or even just going to parties and reading magazines, BE ACTIVE. It is this which turns your time at university into one of life’s defining moments rather than just a dull, mundane, full-time job that you don’t get paid for.

We all need what we call success structures scheduled into our weeks to ensure we stay at our highest.  We all need systems installed into our days to ensure consistency of results, order, and super outcomes.  Success does not just occur.  It is a project that is worked on each day.  You need to swim out to it.  You need to make it happen, along with letting it happen- once you have given your best.

You know, Vision is not enough; it must be combined with venture.  It is not enough to stare up to the step; we must step up the stairs.  Don’t postpone your greatness.  Your time is now………

We all get the same allotment of time.  Each of us gets 24 Hours each day.  The sad fact is that too many among us spend too much time doing unimportant things.  Drifting like a piece of wood in a river. All because we don’t make the time to think.  About our priorities.  About our dreams and goals.

Pay Attention to life:  Make the time to reflect on what you want your life to stand for, what you have learned from your years, and what your legacy will be.  Time slips through our fingers-like grains of sand- never to return again.  Use your days to realize your talents.  Make you think of that “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I will hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, ‘ I used everything you gave me.’  Think about what goals you need to accomplish for you to feel the day has been a success-and write them down.  Think about your most closely held values.  Think about what lessons you’ve learned from the previous day.

In the end, I would like to congrats all of the senior students for organizing Fresher’s welcome ceremony, and before leaving the dais, I am expressing fresher’s heart will as Gahan Saghan Manmohak Van Taru, Mujhko Aaj Bulatey Hai, Kintu kiye jo Vaade Mainey yaad mujhey aa jaatey hai, Abhi kaha Aaram bada ye, Mook Nimntran Chhalna hai , arey abhi to meelo mujhko meelo mujhko chalna hai!.. Jai Hind.
